On December 11, 2024, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) released Document No. 2024.9126, suggesting a revision of the maximum allowable usage of endo-1,4-β-xylanase as a food additive in cereal baked goods. The proposed new limit is 0.9435 mg/kg, down from the previous maximum of 1.44 mg/kg.
