About FoSIM Malaysia (FOOD SAFETY INFORMATION SYSTEM OF MALAYSIA)
The FoSIM Malaysia project initiative was initiated and launched by PKKM (Program Keselamatan dan Kualiti Makanan)/FSQP (Food Safety and Quality Program) and funded by the Ministry of Health (MoH) Malaysia. The objective of this project is to develop and implement enterprise applications for FSQP by providing a single, centralized gateway to the Malaysian food industry, accessible via a web portal and mobile applications.
This system will be used by all parties involved in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of the Food Act 1983 and the Food Regulations 1985.
It is a very crucial Integrated Web Based Platform implemented in order to achieve the goals for improved management and ability nationwide. FoSIM Malaysia, developed and managed by the MoH Malaysia is an essential tool that caters to numerous stakeholders i.e., food businesses, importers/exporter regulators, and the public. By connecting the various government agencies with a specific industry such as food, this platform will not only facilitate communication and coordination within sectors but also foster an environment in which it is easier to ensure that standards are consistently being met.

FoSIM Public App
FoSIM Public App is an App that guides the user to check the license information, premises, and companies in Malaysia.
BACKGROUND
FoSIM Public App is an application that makes it easier for users to check licenses issued by PKKM. Two (02) modes of checking can be accessed by the user:
- Through the QR code users can check the availability of the license displayed at the sales premises; and
- Use the search field to search for the names of the premises/company/Premise Registration number/Company Registration number/Product Certificate number.
Users will also be given the latest information publicized by FSQP. FoSIM Malaysia Public App has the following checking functions and activities:
- Announcements added from the FoSIM web;
- Scan the QR code on the Food Premises Registration Certificate;
- Check the license and certificate by searching for the certificate number;
- Check the premises by searching the name and registration number of the premises; and
- Check the company with the search for the name and registration number of the company.
