California Leads the Way: Bill SB 707 Establishes Nation's First Extended Producer Responsibility Textile Recovery Act of 2024

On September 30, 2024, the California Government published a Senate Bill No.707 Responsible Textile Recovery Act of 2024. This bill emphasize Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs), Producer Responsibility Plan for Covered Products, Financial Provisions, Records, Audits, and Reports, Department Responsibilities,  Enforcement and Civil Penalties, Antitrust Immunity, County Authority and Online Marketplace.

This bill shall adopt regulations to implement this chapter with an effective date of no earlier than July 1, 2028.
