Regulatory Determinations for PFAS in Consumer Products: Legislative Report

The Safer Products for Washington program regulates the use of Perfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in nine consumer products under RCW 70A.350.040(1). The legislative report identifies regulatory determinations but does not establish restrictions. A separate technical report provides a chapter on each priority product category and market analysis. The State of Washington Department of Ecology is hosting webinars to discuss the transition to rulemaking for cycle 1.5 and the chemical action plan. The notification was published on July 18, 2024.
