The U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released the final risk evaluation of tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The evaluation assesses whether TCEP presents an unreasonable risk to health or the environment, focusing on exposed or susceptible populations, without considering costs or non-risk factors.

Based on scientific evidence, the EPA concluded that TCEP poses an unreasonable risk. As a result, the EPA is required to take risk management actions to address these risks. This announcement is relevant to industries involved in the production, use, or disposal of TCEP, as well as organizations and governments concerned with chemical safety.
