The EFSA Panel reviewed proposed changes to the use of steviol glycosides (E 960a–d), including an increase in the acceptable daily intake (ADI) and extending its use to new food categories. They found that increasing the ADI to 6 or 16 mg/kg bw per day was not justified. The proposed changes would exceed the current ADI for toddlers, with exposure reaching up to 6.9 mg/kg bw per day at the 95th percentile, which is above the safe limit
