EU regulation for various carcinogens- 1A and 1B

The European Commission is amending Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 regarding the classification, labelling, and packaging of substances and mixtures (53 chemicals). This includes updating the harmonised classification for various substances, based on scientific opinions from the European Chemicals Agency. It addresses substances like benzyl compounds, acrylates, and lead, while also considering new stakeholder information. A transition period is allowed for compliance with updated classifications, and the regulation will be amended accordingly to ensure protection of human health and the environment. Some substances may require further assessment before classification.
