The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers approved changes to the Technical Regulation of Aerosol Sprayers, including removing certain terms and replacing certain terms with more accurate translations. The regulation now includes a new definition for the heat of combustion of aerosols, which is determined using methods and data from DSTU ASTM D240:2023 and DSTU EN ISO 13943:2022 standards. The regulation also includes a change in clause 6.3, which outlines the flammability testing of aerosols. The test is designed to determine the ignition distance of sprayed aerosols, assessing the risk of ignition. The test is applied to aerosols sprayed at a distance of 150 millimeters or more, and does not apply to aerosols with a spray distance of less than 150 millimeters. The Resolution was published on 10 July 2024 and will enter into force on 01 January 2025.
