The Malaysia National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) has released Circular No. 2/2024, which updates the status of ingredients in the Annex of the Guidelines for Control of Cosmetic Products in Malaysia. The amendments align with the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive amendments made during the 39th ASEAN Cosmetic Committee meeting. The changes include adding one more list of restricted ingredients and revising several lists of prohibited ingredients, restricted ingredients, permitted preservatives, and permitted UV filters.
