NMPA Announces Electronic Registration for Cosmetics and Raw Materials

On July 08, 2024, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) published an announcement aims to improve cosmetics regulatory and government services by promoting electronic registration and filing of cosmetics and new cosmetic raw materials. Starting September 1, 2024, domestic registrants, filing persons, and manufacturers will only need to submit electronic materials through the information service platform. Paper materials are not required, and manufacturers can file them themselves. If original materials or third-party certification materials are required, they must sign and confirm their authenticity. State Food and Drug Administration and provincial drug regulatory departments will optimize procedures and requirements for registration, acceptance, technical review, and filing management. If previously issued provisions conflict with this announcement, this announcement will prevail.
