Thailand releases pre-packaged food labelling regulations

The regulations cover: Terms and Definitions Mandatory Labeling Information: Name of the product Ingredient list Production date and shelf life Warnings or prompts Labeling Requirements: Font, font size, color Arrangement order Display position Standardized names of food additives Optional Labeling Information: Trademark name Requirements for Claims about Food Ingredients: For example, labels can claim the absence of certain prohibited ingredients, like stating that milk does not contain preservatives. Exemptions and Specific Products These regulations will take effect after their publication in the Government Gazette, with a two-year transition period for compliance."
