"On July 24, 2024, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of South Korea issued Notice No. 2024-41 to amend the Food Labeling Standards. Key revisions include: *Foods targeted at infants and young children must be labeled as such to prevent consumer confusion. *Mixed edible oils can include the name of the raw materials in the product name. *Clearly define the conditions under which frozen foods are processed into refrigerated products after thawing. *The calorie label for alcoholic beverages must be larger and bolder. Requirements for labeling the color value and content of natural pigments are specified. *If the net content of a product decreases and the price per unit increases, this change must be indicated to inform consumers. *Products emphasizing ""sugar-free"" or ""no sugar added"" must also indicate the use of sweeteners and calorie-related information. *Specify the allowable error range between labeled and actual values of three essential fatty acids (linoleic acid, α-linoleic acid, EPA+DHA). *Some sentences are modified in accordance with the Food Code and the Food Additives Code."
